Speed Changing

Changing now is a challenge, trying to pin Joshua down, keep him still. Especially, now he is always wanting to crawl and stand! He is really gaining his motor skills really rapidly! The PD even commented he might start walking as early as 9mth! (Goodness, now we are trying to child proof the house)

We always need to gear ourselves with some distractors. At times, I will get him to hold his on diaper or his hair brush. (which he ends up putting in his mouth) Else, we would dress him sitting or standing up. We had to do all this within seconds, else he would be making impatient sounds, wriggling his way out of our hands.

But still I thank God, he is not a noisy baby. I used to help out in the nursery, had experienced wailing babies, that need 2 persons to pin the baby still, while the other 2 helpers rushed to change the diaper. I learnt that diaper and clothe changing can be fun, it is in the nature of babies to keep being active, because they are eager to learn. They can't stop practising their newly acquired skills.

At times, I wish I can be like Joshua, being so alive. I want to be so alive, constantly eager, hungry for the Lord. He serves as a reminder for me to never stop WANTING :)
