Mastitis
I had always thank God, how easy breastfeeding had been for me. I never had engorgement, or cracked/bleeding nipples or poor latch on of the baby. Joshua was not easy on the 1st day after he came back home, he went on hunger strike for half a day. But I was adament, bearing his loud cries, non-stop mumbling of my mum to give him the bottle. Togather with the prayer support of friends, I succeeded. It was simply a breeze for the last 9months.Until I was hit with mastitis!! It is an infection, which is likely due to germs introduced by the baby. You know how Joshua at this stage loves putting things into his mouth! It was high fever on and off. Pain in the chest. It was simply horrible feeling. Poor deary, spent 1 whole week, every evening, doing hot massage for me, for several hours.
Never a moment I comtemplated weaning Joshua off, deary and I really wanted Joshua to have strong health foundation. Even as I blog this, I felt like giving myself a pat on the shoulder. I am a 'Wei Da' mummy! Haa...all the way! 14months to go!
Hair Cut #3
We decide it was time for Joshua's 3rd hair cut when 3 passerbys (in 1 day) thought Joshua was a GIRL! This time, we had to try really hard to keep him still. He was trying to grab the shaver, the comb. Instead of the toys we were dangling in front of him. Babies, they are just so smart, they know what you are trying to distract them from!
At the end, it was a nice cut, with a slight jaggered cut. But this is what Joshua thought of his hair cut.
He even took his first dive in a saloon 'jacuzzi'.Baby Dedication
7th Aug, this day was one of the significant day of Joshua's life! Pastor Kong prayed for Joshua.

Penang Trip
Just back on Mon from our 3 days Penang roadtrip. It was Joshua 2nd oversea trips (minus the countless trip to JB). The 1st trip to KL was when he was just a mere 2.5mth, it was so much easier! Since I was breastfeeding, it was latching on all day long. * smug* The only bulky barang barang was his diapers! At that time, he needed frequent change every 4hrs.
Now at 10mth, he is on his 2nd solid. Being really particular about hygiene and food. I brought the slow cooker, lots of fruits (to keep him still in the car), organic bottle jars and cereal. Not counting his stroller, bolster, hot water tumbler, bottles the whole trip, it was feeding most of the time. Trying to keep him away from the steering wheel. (Not sure if this is boy and car thingy) Baby at this age needs small meals to keep them full and occupied.
We had a nice nap at the Batu Ferringhi beach after the feed. It is also Joshua's 1st experience with the sand and the sea!
Being in a new environment, Joshua became quite a climber! It was exhausting trying to keep him still, that I stop trying and let him be. Fell twice, missed countless naps, to be honest, in the end I didn't quite had the mood to do shopping. Planning for another trip end of the year, hopefully he could walk a little by then
